Yes. The PDF embeds a font covering CJK. That is the step most browser-side PDF tools skip, and why those scripts come out as blank boxes elsewhere.

Are the timestamps included?

Yes, in front of each line. That is the point of a subtitle PDF — a reviewer needs to be able to say "the line at 00:04:12 is wrong".

Can I get an editable document instead?
