Yes — the full diacritics are part of the output, so the text is correct Vietnamese you can read and paste, not a stripped ASCII approximation. That is the difference that makes an automatic transcript actually usable.
Does it work with northern and southern accents?
Yes. The model handles the main regional accents, Hanoi and Saigon included. Clear audio transcribes most accurately; for noisy recordings or heavy overlap, a quick proofread in the editor fixes the occasional word.
Can it subtitle Vietnamese videos?

Vietnamese isn't in the language menu — how do I make sure it's detected?
Leave Audio language on Auto-detect: Vietnamese is recognised automatically. Detection listens to roughly the first 30 seconds, so if your recording opens with an English intro, music or a long silence, trim that part first — otherwise the file may be treated as another language.
Why does a word sometimes come out with the wrong tone mark?
Tone marks are chosen from how the syllable sounds, so noise, music or a mumbled word can tip it to a neighbouring tone — ma, má and mả are different words.
