Convert WAV to MP3
WAV files are uncompressed and large — great for editing, awkward to store or send. This re-encodes a WAV to a compact MP3 with WebCodecs right in your browser, so the file is never uploaded and there is no cap on size or how many you convert.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting to MP3 lose quality?
MP3 is a compressed format, so there is some loss — but at a normal bitrate it is inaudible for most listening, and the file ends up a fraction of the WAV size. For archival or further editing, keep the original WAV.
Is the file uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs on WebCodecs on your own device — nothing is sent to a server, so there is no account, no quota and no waiting in a queue. Chrome, Edge and Firefox work best.
