Terms of Service
The terms and conditions governing your use of ScribeToAny
2026/07/22
Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ScribeToAny (the "Service"), an AI-powered platform that transcribes audio and video files into text. By creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
ScribeToAny lets you upload audio or video files, or import media from a link, and returns machine-generated transcripts that you can edit and export in formats such as TXT, SRT, VTT, TSV, JSON, PDF and DOCX. Transcripts are produced by automated speech-recognition (ASR) models — see Transcription Accuracy below.
Accounts and Eligibility
When you create an account you must provide accurate, complete information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Subscriptions, Billing and Auto-Renewal
The Service offers a free tier and paid plans (Pro and Lifetime). Plans include usage quotas — for example, the free tier provides a limited number of transcription minutes per month and the Pro plan provides a larger monthly allowance, along with limits on file size and concurrent processing. Current plans, prices and quotas are shown on our pricing page.
Paid subscriptions bill in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices or plan features, and will give reasonable notice before a change affects your renewal.
Payments and Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. Where that provider acts as the Merchant of Record, it is the seller of record for your purchase and handles billing, invoicing, applicable taxes and payment disputes. Where no Merchant of Record arrangement applies, we are the seller of record and the Taxes section below governs. Your purchase is also subject to the payment provider's own terms.
Taxes
All fees are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. Where required, we will collect those taxes on behalf of the taxing authority and remit those taxes to taxing authorities. Otherwise, you are responsible for payment of all taxes, levies, or duties.
Refunds
Subscription fees for a billing period already charged are generally non-refundable, and you will retain access for the remainder of the paid period after cancellation. We may grant refunds at our discretion, and we honor any refund rights required by applicable law. Refunds, where granted, are processed through the payment provider used for your original purchase.
Your Content and Rights
You retain all rights to the audio, video and other content you upload or import ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to transcribe it and deliver your transcripts).
You represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to Your Content, and that you have obtained any consent required to record and transcribe it — including the consent of every person who is recorded, where the law of the applicable jurisdiction requires it. You are solely responsible for complying with recording-consent and privacy laws that apply to your content.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload or transcribe content that is illegal, or that you do not have the rights or consent to process
- Upload copyrighted material you are not authorized to use, or content that infringes any third party's rights
- Upload content that is harassing, abusive, or that depicts the exploitation or abuse of minors
- Circumvent or attempt to exceed usage quotas, or share access to evade plan limits
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attack our systems or networks, or distribute malware
- Import media from sources whose terms prohibit it (for example, YouTube imports are not supported and are rejected by the Service)
Transcription Accuracy
Transcripts are generated automatically by machine-learning models and may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee any level of accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing transcripts before relying on them. Do not rely on machine-generated transcripts in situations where an error could lead to harm — for example medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions.
Automated Processing
Your Content is processed by automated speech-recognition models running on third-party compute infrastructure in order to produce your transcripts. We do not use Your Content to train models. For details on how we handle and delete your files, see our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Service, and its original software, content, features and functionality, are owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right in our intellectual property other than the right to use the Service.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us with the details required for a copyright/DMCA notice, and we will respond appropriately, which may include removing the content and terminating repeat infringers.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. After termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
