Convert OGG to MP3
OGG (Vorbis or Opus) is common in open-source tools and games, but plenty of players and devices still expect MP3. This re-encodes an OGG to MP3 with WebCodecs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded and there is no limit on size or count.

Frequently asked questions
Does it handle Ogg Vorbis and Ogg Opus?
Yes — either codec inside the .ogg container is decoded and re-encoded to MP3. Just drop the file in; nothing to configure.
Is the audio uploaded?
No. Everything runs with WebCodecs on your device, so the file never leaves the browser — no account, no quota, no size limit. Chrome, Edge and Firefox work best.
Why convert OGG to MP3 at all?
OGG is excellent quality for its size and common in games, Wikipedia audio and open-source tools, but support outside the browser is patchy — plenty of phones, car stereos, DAWs and older media players won't open it. MP3 is the format that plays essentially everywhere, so converting is about compatibility, not quality. If a device or app rejected your OGG file, an MP3 is what it's expecting.
Is converting OGG to MP3 lossy?
Yes, in principle — OGG is already compressed and MP3 compresses again, so it's a second lossy pass. In practice the tool encodes at a high bitrate and the difference is inaudible for normal listening. There's no way to make an MP3 sound better than the OGG it came from, so the honest goal is compatibility with a device that won't play OGG, not an upgrade in quality.
Are the title and artist tags kept?
The conversion focuses on the audio itself; OGG stores its tags in a different structure (Vorbis comments) than MP3 (ID3), and they don't always carry across cleanly. Expect to reapply title, artist and album in your player or a tag editor if they matter — the audio itself comes over intact, which is the part that can't be redone afterwards.
