Convert Video to GIF
Turn a short clip into a looping GIF for chats, docs or issues. Frames are sampled from the video with WebCodecs and encoded to a GIF right in this tab — nothing is uploaded. Keep the clip short and the width modest: GIFs grow large fast, and a few seconds is what the format is for.
Runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my GIF so large?
GIF is an old format with no real compression for video, so file size climbs quickly with length, width and frame rate. For a smaller result, trim the clip to a few seconds, drop the width, and lower the frames per second.
Is the video uploaded anywhere?
No. Frames are decoded and encoded on your own device with WebCodecs; the file never leaves the browser, which is why there is no account and no size limit.
