Frequently asked questions

Are the timecodes and cue numbers preserved?

Yes. The translated file is generated from the same segment list as the original, so cue numbering and start/end timecodes are identical down to the millisecond. Only the subtitle text differs between the two files.

Can I also get VTT or a Word document?

Yes — the same transcript exports as TXT, SRT, VTT, TSV, CSV, JSON, PDF or DOCX. Pick several at once and you get a single ZIP, which is the quickest way to deliver subtitles and a readable document together.

Do you split long lines for readability?

Cues are cut at natural sentence boundaries and at speaker changes during transcription, so lines stay a readable length before translation ever happens. If a translated line still runs long for your platform, every segment is editable in the browser before export.
