Which Twitter/X links work?
Public posts that contain a video, whether the address says x.com or twitter.com. Protected (private) accounts and anything that needs a login to view will not work, because we fetch the post the same way an anonymous visitor does and get the same refusal.
Do I have to connect my Twitter/X account?
No, and you should not be asked to anywhere. We never request your X login and nothing here needs one — a public post is public. You only need a ScribeToAny account, which is free to start.
What can I do with the transcript afterwards?
Edit it in the browser, click any line to replay that moment, then export TXT, SRT, VTT, TSV, CSV, JSON, PDF or DOCX. SRT and VTT come out cue-timed, so they drop straight back onto the video as subtitles.
What if the link won't import?
Save the video to your device and upload the file instead — a file always works, whatever the post's settings. Links fail when the post is protected, deleted, age-restricted or needs a login to view.
Is there a length limit for long videos?
Yes, the same as for uploads: the free plan transcribes the first 30 minutes of a video, paid plans up to 6 hours. Longer videos aren't rejected — only the part within your limit is transcribed, and the transcript says so.
