Frequently asked questions
What Webex file do I upload?
Upload the MP4 recording. Webex cloud recordings can be downloaded as MP4; local recordings save as ARF, which Webex’s own player converts to MP4 first. Audio-only files work too.
Does it label each speaker?
Yes — turn on speaker detection and the transcript is split by speaker, so a multi-person meeting reads as a conversation. Rename the detected speakers to real names in the editor afterwards.
Can I get subtitles or a shareable transcript?
Both. Export SRT or VTT to caption the recording, or share a read-only link so colleagues can read and search it without an account. PDF and DOCX exports are there for formal minutes.
