Why is my GIF so large?
GIF is an old format with no real compression for video, so file size climbs quickly with length, width and frame rate. For a smaller result, trim the clip to a few seconds, drop the width, and lower the frames per second.
Is the video uploaded anywhere?
No. Frames are decoded and encoded on your own device with WebCodecs; the file never leaves the browser, which is why there is no account and no size limit.
